I pray that out of His glorious riches He may strengthen you with power through His Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. Ephesians 3:16-17a

We are constantly checking our bank accounts to verify our earthly riches. These feed our flesh and give us a false sense of security regarding their stability and importance due to the devil’s lies and deceitfulness.

We would like to think that we could survive just about anything if our bank account could pay for it. We are strengthened with worldly power by counting on these earthly assets.

In contrast, God our Father is the true source of all riches, strength and power. Not only is He the true source, but He is the eternal God who never lies or deceives us. Father God opens and builds up our spirit through the Holy Spirit to strengthen us for trials and hardships that come to all of us. This is accomplished by Christ dwelling in our hearts to defeat fear, anxiety, and all forms of intimidation and deceit.
