Be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains. Ephesians 6:18b-20a

One of the maladies of our society is that we are being bombarded by many different distractions that could keep us from walking with God. These distractions also keep us from being alert to potential dangers and setbacks. Prayer is an excellent method to refocus our minds and hearts on the beauty, love and power of God. Prayer helps us to witness effectively about the gospel to unbelievers.

Without conviction, we can easily be placed in chains of unbelief and silence. These chains can be broken when we speak the Word of God with boldness, given to us by the Holy Spirit. Paul, even though he was in prison for his faith, fearlessly told others of Christ’s birth, death and resurrection so that others could be free spiritually.

We are also ambassadors for the King of kings wherever God has placed us to spread the good news of Jesus Christ in word and in deed.
