I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through Him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:12b-13

The secret of our contentment is the source of our contentment. Many of us have been running around willy-nilly, guided by the worldly professors of pleasure. These experts will lead us right off the cliff and into the valley of dissatisfaction.

Our Savior Jesus Christ, who knows us intimately, knows exactly what makes us content. The secret to being content is to understand that Jesus alone can meet our need in every situation and lead us out of the valley of dissatisfaction and into the garden of contentment. Paul accessed this timeless truth by believing in the greatness and all sufficiency of Jesus Christ to reveal a solution.
