Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Colossians 3:2-3

Thoughts are like seeds; they reproduce in kind. Heavenly thoughts and earthly thoughts are of a different seed. Have you ever seen an apple tree produce oranges? Heavenly thoughts produce heavenly activities and plans. Earthly thoughts produce earthly activities and plans. These two seeds also produce different destinations.

When we set our mind, we also set our thoughts, which end up in different destinations. Peace, love and order are produced when we focus our thoughts on Christ and ask for His direction each day. Earthly thoughts are those of pursuing the desires of the flesh. They are likely to result in fear, anxiety, chaos, selfishness and confusion. Because we have surrendered our whole life to Christ, we can now experience the fruits of His love, power and wisdom in our daily affairs.
