Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Would it not be wonderful if we could live a life of overflowing joy? Joy is infectious and gathers others around the people who appreciate it. Many who look at the world we live in today would say this is impossible. Joy comes when we are continually connected to God in prayerful conversation throughout the day. The subject matter with God is not so important but that we are maintaining a close relationship to Him, the source of all joy in the universe. God has a steady stream of joy for all that He has created, including you!

A gratitude attitude will get us through the stormiest and darkest situations in this life with a heart that is still open to God. Giving thanks in all circumstances makes room for many good things to happen with us. God’s will can be accomplished when we are full of thanksgiving and praise. We may not be thankful about our circumstances, but we can be thankful about what God will do in the midst of our storm. It is up to us to decide what attitude we will choose to deal with life.
