For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
God did not create us to live in fear, negativity and without discipline. The author of perfection and excellence, Father God, does not make people who are perpetual failures. Instead He gives us courage, strength and endurance to meet the challenges of life and of our sin. This applies not only to our bodies but to our character and our spirit. Our God is concerned with our inner man and our outer man.
Love is the most powerful force in the universe. It motivates us, sustains us and fills us with the power of God. We can use God’s gift of love to drive out fear and add light and beauty to our daily lives. In a time of increasing darkness, this light becomes more essential. Sin multiplies in the deeds of darkness where there is no love or light. Love is God’s nuclear bomb to destroy the enemy. If we love even a little every day, God’s Word will become alive and we will have more clarity in following God’s plan for us.
