Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him, endured the cross, scorning the shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Hebrews 12:1-2

It is very disconcerting to be all alone and not know where you are going. This is not the reality for a Christian who has a relationship with Jesus. Before we were born, Jesus gifted us with abilities and talents and gave us a destiny to fulfill them. Jesus made us to meet and work with certain people in our lives in a very precise way at a very precise time to help them accomplish their purpose for God. Our great multitude of cheerleaders are cheering us on to not be entangled by the world.

In reality, God has given us a great number of witnesses in heaven that cheer us on so that we can complete our destiny. With this in mind, we can cast off our sin, burdens and shame
that can entangle us in this life and complete the race that God has assigned for us. We know we can finish the race because our eyes are fixed on Jesus Christ, who gave up even His own life for us so that we can live in heaven with Him.
