But in your hearts, set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But, do this with gentleness and respect. 1 Peter 3:15

Life can be a very perplexing puzzle and we don’t know sometimes how to respond or react. Christ is the cornerstone from which we can determine all our speech and actions. Our adversaries will not hesitate to find an opportunity to challenge us about our belief in Christ Jesus. As much as possible, we need to practice and plan our responses for those types of situations. The Holy Spirit also helps us to remember what we have studied in Scripture to respond to anyone who asks us.

Giving our hearts wholly to Christ as Lord is the key to responding with gentleness and respect. When we convey our hope to others in this way, we give a powerful and compelling response. In a world full of noise, doubt and chaos, our hope is a life preserver to those around us who are slowly dying. Our hope is the gift of life to a world that is bound for hell.
