December 30th

A third angel followed them and said in a loud voice:
“If anyone worships the beast and his image and receives his mark on the forehead or on the hand, he, too, will drink of the wine of God’s fury, which has been poured full strength into the cup of his wrath.“ 
Revelation 14:9-10a

We are a people created for worship. We will either worship something or someone. The story of our lives will be told and ended by who we worship. God has given us two choices here which have eternal consequences; either we will worship God and trust Him fully with our lives or worship the beast, which is given power by Satan. Who we worship also leads to two completely different destinations, namely heaven or hell? Worshipping and trusting Jesus Christ brings us into heaven, while worshipping and following the beast or his idols brings us to hell.

The ultimate offense against God is receiving the mark of the beast to buy or sell in this world and not believing and trusting that God can provide for us. If we do not believe that God can take care of us, we are also saying that we do not believe that God Himself is more powerful than Satan. In doing this, we renounce our relationship with God and accept Satan as lord and master of our lives. This action causes the full wrath of God’s fury to be poured out on all who take the mark of the beast. Remember, God took care of the Israelites in the wilderness for 40 years and He also can provide for all of your needs.
