The Lord is my light and my salvation–whom shall I fear– The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1

Fear brings us more and more darkness, but faith carries us into the light. Our minds can choose to dwell in the darkness or the light. Darkness is a journey into self-centeredness through exposure to things that dull our pain and give us immediate gratification. We will become what we think the most about.

In our society, we spend more and more time celebrating the darkness rather than the light. This is because our minds are fixed on the darkness. The Lord Himself is the light. There is no darkness to be found in Him.

In the light, we can much more easily find our way to the destination God has planned for us. The evil one wants us to lose our way or trip in the darkness. Fear is gone when the Lord of light is our stronghold.
