21) Garment
Dear Father God, as I was in prayer, I saw myself laid out like a garment. I asked what does this mean?
I want to make you a beautiful tapestry of My love and beauty. I will replace the tattered edges of wear and tear. I will heal the burned places where you have been misunderstood. I will mend the tears which have divided you. I will replace the worn with the new.
I will give you a new garment of hope, peace and joy. You are My new creation that I am constantly renewing. You are not tattered, worn and full of holes. You will be a stunning beautiful masterpiece of My love, grace and beauty. Seek Me. Enjoy Me, My beautiful and precious one.
22) Footsteps
I have given you the gift of footsteps. However, many people choose their own footsteps instead of Mine. I am the only one who knows the way to your final destination because I am your final destination. I am the way home. I can lead you safely past endless detours, perilous pitfalls and the abyss of darkness.
Following My footsteps will lead you through many challenges, adventures and eternal rewards. Are you brave enough to give Me a chance? The alternative can be even more frightening. Your own footsteps will cause you to roam through the darkness; but My Word and ways will lead you to the path of light and truth.
Yes, it is more rewarding to choose your own footsteps at first, but will your footsteps be the most rewarding at the end? Every path has a beginning and an end; but I have no beginning or end. I will never grow tired of giving you what you most seek.
23) If You Only Knew
If you only knew how much I loved you, your heart would shatter like the most fragile crystal at the overwhelming thought. Your eyes would cry the tears of a mighty waterfall with relief and joy. Your legs would wobble and topple to the floor at the thought of My love for you.
My thoughts of you could not be numbered by all the grains of sand in every desert. Your ears would long every second to hear My songs of precious love for you. Your feet would stop wandering and run directly to Me every day. Your hands would continually clap with praise for what I have done for you throughout time. If you only knew, you would be consumed with joy, wonder and awe about how I feel about just you. If you only knew.
24) The Gift of Treasuring
Behold I set before you an empty treasure chest. But why is it empty? It is empty because I want you to learn to treasure times, places and people. You can do this by seizing memories of them and seeking out the goodness and the light in them.
This treasure box is meant to be a spiritual insurance for your mind in the times of emptiness, loneliness and defeat. As you capture these good memories, you can place them into your treasure box. I call it a treasure box because these memories should be treasured again and again and again; times of faithfulness, love, joy, peace and tenderness. This will be your anecdote in an increasingly savage time and culture.
Take a few moments every day and capture these memories. Put them in your treasure box where they can be kept for difficult times. The more they are used, the more powerful they become. Yes, and tie them together with cords of thanksgiving for My goodness to you. These treasures are designed to protect your mind against darts of the evil one. These treasures lead you away from darkness and into the light of My love.
25) You Move Me
Yes, it’s you! My passionate desire for you is unmatched by any person or force in the universe. You are the apex of what I have created. Your cries reach My ears and your tears fill My bottle.
You move Me like nothing else. Yes, so much that I wait for the precise best time to do the most good. My unlimited zeal for you cannot be contained by your weaknesses, faults or sin. My burning love for you incinerates all obstacles to an eternal union. You move Me. You are the burning desire of My heart and the apple of My eye. This is so because I created you to be this way for My delight.
Nothing can ever separate you from My love or My amazing plans for you. They will make even the angels stand in awe and wonder at My goodness towards you. You move Me. I will not forget or fail in any of My purposes. Delight yourself in an eternal love relationship with Me that is beyond any definition or description. Smile. You move Me and I am coming for you.
26) Folded Hands
I am raising up a new generation of warriors. They don’t carry guns but they are extremely powerful. They will shake governments and nations. They will bring the children back to their fathers and mothers. They will heal the wounded and sick soul.
They will be a firewall against the rising tide of evil. They will comfort the grieving and bring tears of repentance. They will give birth to superior strategies and long-lasting victories.
I am raising up legions of them to make a foundation for My coming kingdom. Yes, their prayers will resonate forever in My ears and in My heart. I will never forget them and record them in My book of great deeds. Yes, they will change the course of history and save untold lives.
Fold your hands and talk to Me, for you are one of the warriors that I have chosen to do My work. Not with just deeds, but with your heart. Not with plans but with tears and cries for My help. Your simple words will create an everlasting tapestry of My glory.
27) Fireplace
The fireplace room was cold, dark, empty and lifeless. Many people walked by it but no one seemed to care. This also could be a picture of many of the people’s hearts in our lives. But as we pray, the Holy Spirit sends us a spark of power, light and fire to the fireplace of other people’s hearts. Their logs of hunger, longing and need are an excellent fuel for a blazing fire.
The Holy Spirit uses us as both a spark and light for cold and empty hearts of others. Our love, prayers and caring help warm the heart again and light the fire of help and passion. Are we not the lamp lighters that light the streets for lost and empty souls? Can we provide the warmth and light for the dark and solitary heart and empty fireplace?
The Holy Spirit wants us to light a fire and show people the light of God. We can make a big difference with a little smile, a little spark of hope or encouragement. We were once like those in darkness until someone came and lit our way. Everyone is drawn to a warm and inviting fireplace. So too, others will be drawn by our warm and friendly hearts. What kind of fireplace will our heart be; empty and cold or warm and inviting? It is for us to choose. God freely gives to all who ask Him.
28) The Listener
The Lord listened to the earth. Did He hear His Word come back to Him or His praises dance in His ears? The Lord watched. He peered through the darkness. Did He see His light cutting through the black void?
The Lord spoke and put His words into their mouths, but did they speak them with boldness and confidence? The Lord waited for the hungry and desperate hearts to come to Him. Did they come or were they searching for other solutions? The Lord shook governments and nations. Did they know that what they had was not good enough? Did they seize His goodness and mercy, repentance and change? The Lord gave more time for all to know His greatness and goodness. So, the Lord listened. He watched. He spoke. He waited. He gave and gave and gave until the time came.
29) Imagination
Do you need a great idea? Are you caught in a rut? Do you feel like you live in a pit? I invite you to come and rest before Me. I am everywhere waiting for you. I am the great imagination. I am the source of every great and a brilliant idea; as a matter of fact, I have some waiting for you.
I am the imagination station. I am constantly pouring out new ideas and great thoughts. Rest under My showers of generosity and kindness.
Soak yourself in My presence and let Me change your life. I didn’t create you to always be the same. I made you to be vibrant, creative and full of life.
I not only give you the idea but I make it possible for the idea to grow. I love it when you get excited, the joy you feel is an expression of My own heart for you. This is just the beginning of what I have for you. Come and soak in My life, My creativity and joy.
30) Bitterness
Bitterness is born of disappointment, which never seems to be reconciled. Bitterness is not just an infection; it is a cancer that destroys the heart, the soul and the life. It despairs of the mercy of God. In its anger, it reaches out its tentacles into others hearts that are willing to listen.
Listening to bitterness is saying yes to bitterness. Bitterness is like a huge glacier floating in the north pole, its edges shred, cut and destroy those that they meet. Bitterness delights in spreading its cancer and poison to others. Bitterness is changed by prayer and steadfast love of Jesus. Only Jesus can heal a hope deferred. When hope is fulfilled, bitterness is evicted.
