41) The Perfect Gift
This is a most important time for the perfect gift. God gave us His perfect gift when He gave us His son Jesus. The most important question in life is how will you use the perfect gift? Many of us love to receive gifts but don’t like shopping for them. Either the cost is too high or the gift is unworthy.
If God wanted something for Christmas, what would we give Him? He owns the cattle on 1000 hills and He made and owns everything. It is not like He really needs anything; but our God is full of unlikely surprises. To Him, a simple yes to His question may be the best gift of all. In fact, a series of simple yeses will lead to the affection of our heart. No one has more of a right to ask for our affections than God who gave everything for us. A simple yes may be what we can best give our Lord for Christmas.
The beautiful thing is He does not need our yes but He can certainly use our yes to do great things. God has so arranged us that when we say yes to Him, we also give ourselves a gift. What a wonderful and mysterious creator He is to us!
42) Take Courage
For I have foreseen everything. There is nothing that I cannot do with you. I use your mistakes and weaknesses to build you an amazing and glorious future. Nothing surprises Me because I know it before it happens. I AM the Lord of the second and third and fourth chances.
Your prayers are recorded, heard and accepted. Your tears are kept in My bottle to be used as I will. Take courage. You are not forgotten but constantly remembered. You will make it. You will reach the finish line. I the Lord God will do whatever it takes to bring you home. You are the most precious to Me.
Ahead of you lies an eternity of untold riches. You and I will share them together. Take courage, I have designed an eternal victory just for you and your loved ones. I have made a perfect promise to you that will not be broken. Yes, sealed by My own blood.
Take courage. Yes, take courage. Signed, Your Magnificent, Omnipotent, Fantastic, Merciful, Incredible, Unbelievable, Completely Faithful, Tender, Absolutely Righteous, Totally Truthful, Just, Holy, Awesome, Covenant Making, All Knowing, and Perfect God and Best friend.
43) The Tale of Two Gardens
I have placed before you two Gardens. One represents your relationship with Me and the other is your relationship with others. Each will bear fruit for Me. How have you planted, fed and cultivated each one? How have you weeded and watered each one?
Each garden has been planted with your thoughts, deeds and attitudes. Will each one reflect generosity or selfishness? Each garden will be presented to Me and I will judge its fruit. You work in these gardens every minute and every hour of each day. So, take care what is planted there and allowed to grow.
Love is the master gardener as it bears the most fruit. Selfishness brings decay and death. The Master will come and examine your harvest. What did you grow for Him; the fruits of the Spirit or the wages of sin and death? The day will surely come when the Master requires you to present the harvest to Him. This is the tale of two Gardens.
44) Light
You are light and I send you into the darkness. I alone have created you, fashioned you and equipped you for this time. My light in you cannot be extinguished by the world. It will shatter and melt away the darkness.
Because I am light, you are also light. My light in you will clarify and embolden.
My light will bring courage and change with it. When you enter, you will change the atmosphere because I have entrusted you with Myself.
You are My vessel, My ambassador, My representative. Darkness cannot coexist with the light. You will bring My power; you will make a difference. You will reveal to the world My character and nature. You may think your light is tiny but it is mighty in the eyes of darkness, for when darkness sees the light it must flee.
So, shine My child, go and change the world and show them I am alive and real. My light shows you the way through the fury of the storm, the clamor of chaos and the frenzy of evil. So, do not be afraid, My little one, for My light brings you into My kingdom.
45) Mystery
Why do I allow mysteries anyway? You say I should be clear and straightforward. Does everything have to be such a riddle? I allow you to have mysteries because I love you. My mysteries confuse and befuddle My enemies.
If you knew the real meaning of My mystery, you would likely be confused and fearful because you don’t have the maturity and insight to handle My plan.
I do this as a favor for you until you are made ready. Let Me build you up in this mystery. Let Me strengthen and encourage you. Let Me increase your might and power to do warfare. Mysteries are the kisses from My heart that cause you to seek Me out and pursue Me.
Don’t be afraid, pursue instead. Make my mysteries an adventure instead and you will prosper. How can you understand the immortal amazing mind of your Creator? Trusting in Me is the key to solving the mystery and releasing the solution.
46) Children, a Parable
Children were playing happily in a pleasant field. They laughed, danced and played together. They cared for each other. The enemy was jealous and had a plan. He put temptations in the field.
One child found a temptation called money. He told no one and kept it to himself. This led him to another one called success. Reputation followed. Care and anxiety about these crept into his soul and occupied his time and attention. He no longer laughed, played and sang. He no longer cared for the others.
The other children also fell to the same temptations. Soon the field was silent; the children were alone but were responsible adults and proud of it. Weeds grew in the pleasant field and the adults stumbled over what they found. They wished they could be children again who laughed, sang and praised God. They no longer cared for each other. They were alone.
47) The Mirror
I have looked at My body on the earth, My bride to come. Some of them are puffed up and strutting around like Bantam roosters bragging about how greatly they are loved and blessed.
All My gifts are given to help you, the body, function to build My kingdom. Each one has a different job; whether they are small or great, they are of equal honor and importance to Me.
I am the Lord and I do not lie. I have no favorites and each one of you is loved equally no matter what you are called on earth to do.
The evil one goes about causing you to despise yourself or inflate your importance. Your talents are given to build up My kingdom; they are not your possession. Gratefulness and obedience are My measuring sticks. Before My holy gaze, every man will be brought to his proper place. It is My honor and approval alone which will prevail forever. I am generous, faithful and I give gifts for my purposes and not for yours.
48) Understanding Grace
By grace we live and move and have our being. Jesus is the manifestation of God’s grace. To be filled with Jesus is to be filled with grace. If we want to be like Him, we must be filled with grace. Without grace, our lives and society will fall apart. We can do nothing good or worthwhile without His grace.
We are becoming a rude, crude and graceless civilization. Grace reveals Christ, promotes Christ and reveals His intentions and plans. We struggle with our own efforts because our hearts are not open to His grace. We are needy and often desperate for His grace; yet, we are desperate for objects, things and people’s affections.
Grace enlightens our darkness and reveals heaven. Please join with me today in asking for God’s grace upon us. Without this, we are a mere skeleton and just bones. In grace we live and move and have our being.
49) The University of Joy
My way of teaching you about joy is not like the world. To the world, Joy is about favor, things and circumstances. In My kingdom, joy is about knowing My Father in heaven and the power of the Holy Spirit.
In the world, independence brings one joy; but in My kingdom, dependence on Me brings joy. I am the uncreated, eternal and unchanging One. I have formed the human heart to experience joy by knowing the depths of My greatness, power and majesty.
Yes, the joy of the Lord is your strength but that joy comes by communicating and knowing Me on a daily basis. My lesson plan for you is eternal and My credits are everlasting. Deep joy comes from knowing Me on a daily basis and partnership with Me. Upon graduation, My joys are eternal. But at best the world’s joys are fleeting.
Enroll in my University school of joy. I have already paid your tuition. You cannot fail. Come and enter into the joy of your Father.
50) Come to My Table
I set before you a table of delights; many are invited but few come. Time and obedience will show you how to get there. My table is lavish and extravagant. It is free and given with grace. Come to the table, it’s all you need.
I Myself am the table and I welcome you. My table is for the hungry, the weak, the tired, the undeserving. Come to the table, come in and be refreshed and renewed. I love to serve the undeserving and give to the brokenhearted.
I prepare My table but few come for they feel undeserving. But I am the Master of My home and I decide who I want to invite. It is you; it is you; it is you! Come to the table, I am waiting for you.
