Learning to Accept God

James 1:21
Many sins and lots of problems come by not accepting God and others. God asks us to accept Him and trust what He is doing in our lives. If we have trouble accepting God it is because we do not trust Him. Every work of God can produce greater love in our lives if we desire to trust and accept Him.

God uses problems and hassles in our lives to produce greater love and trust. God trusts and accepts you just as you are now. God is doing this for a purpose. This is always His desire.

God wants us to believe that we can be so close to Him that He can tell us that He trusts us. He wants the bonds of love to be so great between us that we would be able to accept His love for us. When you wake up in the morning, say “God trusts me even if I feel I messed up”. Our God is trustworthy and He will not fail. Because God is trustworthy, He can trust you. God is not checking us out with a microscope. When we trust God, then our hearts are open to God. God is always right and He does everything in love.

You can’t deal with God until you believe He is right, He is sovereign, and loving you all the time. We can’t grow if not we do not believe it. We need to believe God is right to have victory. Everything He does to us is in love. What we don’t know is often protection for ourselves. Everything He does is to protect us. Every thought is for our protection. This comes out of His kindness and love for us. We need to say thank you God for protecting me. God is constantly protecting us from what we do not need to know and what we could not understand.

God is all powerful. He knows the past; the present and the future. He understands us completely and does all things well for us. Part of His perfect plan for us is that He is building a future for us here and in heaven. He’s a wonderful, kind, gentle protector and lover.

God is always working out in us an eternal life with Him. Satan is a magician, a deceiver, and destroyer. He plays tricks on us. God sings a song to our heart “I love you.” I want to take care of you and protect you. God thinks of mercy first and justice later. He allows trouble, pain and joy to reveal His mercy. The devil threatens us with justice and performance that are tied up in condemnation. We cannot perform our way to heaven. We can’t grow in relationships with God and others where we are judged all the time. God has mercy for us and He has justice for our enemies.

God wants you to have His mind for other people and He wants you to understand Him and know Him as the source of power, energy and love. We need to ask God to give us the same love for another person as He has for us. Then our hearts will open. God, let us have hearts as You have for them and feelings for them that could only come from You. Give us your revelation of how You see and treat other people. When God shows how much He loves us, we can learn to give His love away. This is a process of learning to die to ourselves and letting others go.

We have natural love and supernatural love. The principle here is that God always wants us to end up in the supernatural love. Loving a person means that you show them the love of Jesus by loving and serving them. God’s mind and heart are full of love and understanding. We need to show with our whole selves that we love someone. The greatest compliment to another person is saying, “I see Jesus in you.” God wants us to have His mind, then the possibilities of loving and sharing are endless.

When people don’t love us back, we need to keep loving for Jesus. Give, love and talk to them as if they were Jesus. God is moving us towards Him and heaven. Our purpose is to be close to Him. We need to remember that we will spend much more time with the Lord forever than life on this earth. Our suffering here will not be close to the joy we will have with Jesus.
