To the One who remembered us in our low estate, His love endures forever and freed us from our enemies, His love endures forever. Psalm 136:23-24
One of the most painful experiences of being human is being forgotten. It is like a knife in our heart to not be valued or appreciated for who we are as a person. This happens often in our busy and self-concerned world where we spend the greatest amount of time taking care of ourselves only.

This selfishness enforces our low estate because it becomes a dog eat dog world when everyone is forced to defend their own cause. It is a lonely world full of mistrust and fear. We can feel unprotected and alone because few if any stand with us in our cause.
Our God is a God who never forgets and always remembers. He keeps all His promises to us. God’s deep love for us just goes on and on without an end because God has no beginning or end. His love endures or is the same for us despite our performance or sin. His unchanging love has already been formed and decided before we were ever born as Psalm 139 tells us. In this ever-changing world, is it not wonderful to have His love endure forever
